SRUMC sponsors youth, young adult, and adult mission trips all over the United States.

Through groups like Praying Pelican and Youth Works, our teens and young adults have done light construction, worked in youth day camps, packed and delivered meals to needy families, and much more. They have worked in inner cities, rural communities, Native American reservations, and neighborhoods in California, Nevada, Montanna, Louisianna, West Virginia, and more.

This summer, the Senior High Youth Group travelled to Tennessee with Appalachian Service Project, and have simple and profound stories to share of our experiences there. Call Shellie Seelye with any questions, or to get involved! 775-851-1181, shellie@southrenoumc.org

Adult mission teams have been trained through United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, in recent years have done tornado recovery in Alabama and New Jersey for hurricane recovery and have had amazing experiences. Two years ago, they traveled to Wilseyville, California (near Jackson) to work on repairing and updating Lodestar family camp and retreat center; the experience was so good that they have gone back twice a year ever since!
